What would this bill do?
This bill would increase the minimum wage for most hourly workers in the United States...
o The hourly minimum wage would increase to $8.20 three months after the bill is enacted
o It would increase to $9.15 an hour after a year.
o It would increase to $10.10 an hour after another year.
o Each year after it it would increase, based on the Consumer Price Index.

This does not include tipped employees, such as those working in the restaurant industry. Their minimum wage - currently $2.13 per hour - would be raised annually until it equals 70 percent of the full minimum wage.
