This bill would eliminate Obamacare-related money
This bill would eliminate key components of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
Essentially, it would eliminate...
o Government assistance to help pay for health insurance
o The taxes on those making more than $200,000 a year that were used to pay for Obamacare assistance.
o The taxes on those making more than $200,000 a year that were used to pay for Obamacare assistance.
It also would stop federal funding of Planned Parenthood.
President Obama vetoed it
This bill passed the House and the Senate (only 50 votes were required because it made use of special budget reconciliation rules).
It was vetoed by President Obama. It officially died when the House failed to override the veto.
